Happy Movement : Segment #4!

Hi jammers! Panda here, with the 4th edition of the Happy Movement! Thank you to everyone who has joined so far! Here are some tips on how to cheer yourself up on a bad day!
  • Listen to music! Listen to songs, motivational/inspirational music and even hum along to your favorites! And why not listen to the king of all "happy" music, Happy, by Pharrell Williams! Here are the lyrics (in case you don't know them):

  • Eat & Cook! As weird as it may sound- eating helps you relax and feel calm! Eat whatever your favorite snack or food is- from pancakes to waffles, apple juice to Coke, potato chips to peanuts... Cooking is also a fun way to get your stress or anger out while making a delicious dish to eat! If you feel upset or disappointed in yourself, cooking makes you feel like your work paid off- with a yummy meal!
  • Make quotes! As the Happy Movement : Segment #3! showed, inspiring quotes can brighten up your mood! "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened!" -Dr. Seuss. "There is no success without u." -awesomepanda868.
  • Do an act of kindness! By doing acts of kindness, you are helping someone else, which gives you a nice, accomplished and meaningful feeling inside! Maybe try giving some spare money to a friend or sibling? Bake some cookies or cupcakes and share them with your neighbors? Give people presents "just because"? Send your friends some kind notes? Compliment others? Write some motivational messages on sticky notes and pin them around your house for your family to see? Even the smallest acts of kindness can help you and someone else! It's a two-way bargain! 
  • Spend time with caring people! Sometimes, all we need to cheer ourselves up in some comfort from a caring friend or a compassionate family member. Try talking to some of your blog viewers, Animal Jam buddies, siblings, parents, friends and adults if you need someone to talk to, or just to get yourself out of the "under the weather" mode! Have fun- maybe even tell a few jokes! Laughing is good for you!
  • Read! Even if your world isn't going exactly the way you want it to, maybe someone in your favorite book is having a better day than you? By reading about someone else's life or experiences, you have a better way at looking at the world by the time you are done with reading. Reading also exercises your brain and teaches you new vocabulary words! 
I hope you aren't feeling so sad anymore after reading this post! If you have any other things you like to do when you are feeling down, make sure to comment them so that others can learn about them!
