Graham's Gazette!

Hey jammers! Panda here!

So, part of the reason I've been sort of MIA on this blog for the majority of this month is because I've been working on a special project with some of the AJGC Management Team! We were inspired by the Mirazine digital Animal Jam magazine to make our own! Since the Mirazine is no longer active, the AJ community needs something new to read every month, right? ^.^

AJGC's digital magazine will be called Graham's Gazette, and our first edition will be published on August 21st. I'm super excited for this edition and all future editions to come!

You can check out the Graham's Gazette website here:
http://grahamsgazette.wixsite.com/magazine

And if you have an Instagram, you can also follow the official Graham's Gazette Instagram page (we're @grahamsgazette) here:
https://www.instagram.com/grahamsgazette/

Same with Google Plus here:
https://plus.google.com/103792290924166253205/posts

We hope that you will all enjoy this magazine! ^.^ It will be released at around the same time every month, so make sure to follow our social medias for updates, release dates sneak peeks and more!

Oh! I almost forgot! If you have a blog, Instagram, Google Plus, Twitter etc. it would be amazing if you could post one of these lil' buttons on your page! I'd be ever so grateful! ^.^

Thank you all for being so supportive of me, the blog's authors and all of our projects and endeavours! You are truly THE BEST! <3 p="">
Have an amazing day! :D

P.S. If you haven't read some of my previous posts, then you wouldn't know that our new views goal is to get to 180K by September 30! Can we do it? :D

RIM + Graphic + Jammers Like Restricted Chat? + Monday Animal Facts!

Hi jammers! I hope you all survived through last night, what with the rumored hacking and what not.

The RIM today is the rare round glasses in Jam Mart Clothing!

I like the colors of this item, but I wish that AJHQ put some sort of pattern on the glasses instead of just recoloring the regular round glasses.

Here's a graphic I made of a lion wearing the new RIM! (image was posted on the DE and I made a graphic out of it.)

Ugh, I have to make this post short, because my science teacher assigned us this huge packet of work to do--and it's all due tomorrow! The problem is, there's this huge test tomorrow called the New York State Test. Most of the teachers took it easy on us, in terms of homework, but my science teacher sure didn't. >.< The test will go on for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week, and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week. This week is English, and next week is math. DX

I was browsing an interview with Joi Podgorny, Director of Community Engangement at Animal Jam, and when the interviewer asked about chat settings, she replied with this:

Apparently 80% of jammers are happy with Restricted Chat. Where on earth did this statistic come from? Are they getting this stat from the fact that 80% of jammers use Restricted Chat? Or did they actually conduct a survey?

Anyways... the spotlight of today's Monday Animal Facts is... the heron! Since Mira (one of the most important and special figures in Jamaa) is a blue heron, I thought it would be fun to share some interesting facts about how real herons act in the wild. ^.^
  • The blue heron is the largest and most common type of heron in North America.
  • There are 64 species of herons that differ in size, color and type of habitat.
  • Herons can be found on every continent except for Antarctica.
  • Herons prefer wetlands, swamps, coastlines and areas near rivers, ponds and lakes.
  • The size of a given heron depends on the species. Herons can reach between 34 and 55 inches in length.
  • Herons have a huge wingspan, usually twice their body size.
And here are some fascinating heron photos!

What do you think--did the artists at AJHQ draw Mira well, based on what real herons look like? ^.^

Got to go work on my homework, but I'll post the Fashion Show eliminations (you'll also get to see who won in the non-member category!) later today. ^.^ Keep voting!

Fate - Chapter 4

CHAPTER 4

"What business do you have in this cave?" Count asked, light from the flames giving his face an ominous look.

"We..." Mythical wasn't sure whether or not to tell him about the gold. He had a badge, making her believe that he was Gofnak, so if he knew that gold had been found... would he just tell the other Gofnak members and would they make the orphans work harder?

"Speak!" Count ordered, his voice echoing around the cave. "And don't give me any nonsense. I'll use this dagger if I have to," he said, a bit more quietly. His paw rested on the hilt of his topaz dagger.

"We work at a Gofnak camp," Sparkle said, surprising Mythical with her boldness. Normally Mythical was the brave one, not poor, cowardly Sparkle. "And we were just digging in the snow, like we normally do, and we found a chest of gold."

Count's eyes grew dark. "This gold you speak of... tell me more about it."

Mythical's heart pounded. "There's not much to tell. It's gold." she shot back, shocking herself at how stupid she was being. What are you doing, Mythical? she yelled at herself in her mind. Look at you--angering a possible Gofnak leader with a weapon!

Count gave her a withering look. "You shall not speak to me that way, Mythical," he said angrily. "The reason I am so interested in this gold of yours, is that I seek to destroy Jamaa with it."

"What!!?!?" Mythical and Sparkle shrieked at the same time. "Destroy Jamaa? Are you insane?"

"I must be," Count said. For the first time, Mythical heard a hint of fear in his voice. "But it is not my own idea. It is one created by none other than Mira herself."

"Mira?" Mythical asked, incredulous. "But Mira is dead!"

"She spoke to me in a dream I had a few nights ago," Count said, gazing into the fiery flames.

"What did she say to you?" Sparkle questioned, leaning in towards the fire in interest.

COUNT'S DREAM

I woke in my dream at the center of a petunia bed. I had never seen flowers before--all beautiful forms of nature had been banished from the world of Jamaa, from flowers to cherry blossom trees. But around me, I saw trees of bursting pink blossoms, white and blue flowers, indigo mushrooms and lush, green shrubs beside thin, twirling vines. It was as though I were stepping into a past Jamaa--one without all the horrors and sadness that existed now.

I stepped out of the petunia bed, careful not to step on any of the beautiful petals or crumple any of the young buds. After glancing around the space I was in with much awe, I noticed a tunnel underground leading to another room. I scurried towards it, and burrowed through the tunnel until I reached the room.

The room was like a greenhouse, with it's thick, fluffy shrubs, bright yellow daffodils, and purple flowers. I reached out to touch one of the delicate white petals of a dahlia. It felt velvety in my paw, and I caressed the thin veins of it's leaves, loving how it playfully tickled my fur as a soft wind brushed by.

Once I had admired each and every flower in the beds of plants, I realized that there was yet another tunnel leading to a different room. I also noticed that there was a pathway of daisies laid out on the floor of the mud-covered tunnel, so I wouldn't have to get my paws dirty. I carefully stepped onto each of the daisies, enjoying the lovely feeling of the fuzzy centers of the daises touching my paws.

When I entered the next room, I saw that yet another bed of petunias was at the center of the room. A vine wrapped around one of the walls was connecting blue and white daisies together to form a beautiful piece of art, and next to it was a pot of full, bright roses in what seemed like thousands of colors. But what caught my eye the most was the group of butterflies sipping nectar from some flowers on the wall. Such delicate, beautiful creatures, that I had the misfortune of never seeing before in my life--thanks to those horrid Gofnak leaders and their ridiculous banishing of all forms of nature that didn't have the strength to hold a shovel to dig for gold.

Heading down another tunnel, I entered the largest space of the three I had seen so far. In a corner, a grove of cherry blossom trees and lush, green-leaved evergreens hugged the wall, their branches swaying slightly with every gentle gust of wind. Behind me were two lampposts, each one with blossoming pink flowers embedded along the twisting green plant winding itself around the lamppost. These lamps were so unlike the gloomy cement lampposts stationed like prison guards every ten feet on the deserted and dark streets of Jamaa Township. But in the center of the space was a towering ice statue of the blue heron, Mira. I had seen Mira depicted in banners and paintings briefly when I was a child, but any piece of art in Jamaa had long since been destroyed when the Gofnak took over. Her beauty was so much greater than even the best and most skilled artists would have ever been able to capture with simple paints and brushes.

"M-Mira?" I asked, my voice trembling.

I hadn't expected a response--after all, the great heron was trapped in ice. But I heard a low, soothing voice emit from Mira's beak.

"You are a caring, kind and loving fox," she told me. I personally didn't think I was anywhere near "loving", but I listened anyway.

"It breaks my heart to bind you to this great and dangerous task. But it must be executed by someone with the deepest of hearts and the kindest of souls," Mira continued. I had no idea what she was talking about. What was this "task" she spoke of? How was it dangerous?

"You must seek to destroy the glimmering beauty, to take in the helpless, and to help those who may not help themselves," the heron said, her voice smooth. I wished she would quit speaking with those nowhere-near-understandable sentences.

"Mira, I don't understand," I said. "What are you asking me to do?"

"To destroy Jamaa, my young Count. But remember--your heart is what really leads you, not anybody or anything else. Whatever you feel is right must be done."

To be continued... XD Hope you enjoyed! ^.^

Updates + New Item + Think About it Thursday + More!

Hi jammers! There is a lot to cover today! :D

The new edition of the Jamaa Journal came out!

:O PET PONIES!!!! THEY ARE SO CUTE!!! THE EYES ARE ADORABLE!!! OH MY GOSH!!! They are SOOOOOOOOO cute!!! And their clothes are absolutely PRECIOUS! And those unicorn horns and wings.... absolutely priceless. But of course, they are in the Diamond Shop and I don't want to spend half my diamonds to get them. :T BUT THEY ARE SO JAMMIN' CUTE!! (Wow, I completely lost my sense of grammar in those last few sentences. :P)

Aww, that's sad! ): Snow leopards were one of my favorite animals in Jamaa. Luckily I already bought one awhile back, but make sure to buy one soon if you haven't already!

Hehe... this page is sort of self explanatory. But I have no idea why the Friendship Festival items are leaving so quickly after they arrived! >:O

We all knew that, AJHQ. XD But the way they set up their pizza parlor is pretty fantastic! And wow- that crocodile statue in the corner (next to the fireplace) is way bigger than I thought it would be. XD

Have you noticed the amazing new Jam-a-Grams? Sadly, the cute Friendship Festival ones are gone, but there are two new fabulous stickers and a set of 3 new epic postcards- both with the theme of the Happy-Go-Lucky festival coming up! ^.^

New stickers
The new item (or returning item, I should say) is the emerald ring in Epic Wonders!

Yikes- so expensive. >.< I stocked up on these when they were out in stores a few months ago, and I do have to say, they go well with almost any outfit! ^.^

To continue on with the theme of those epic, cute horse pets, which pony is your favorite?

Pony 1:

Pony 2:

Pony 3:

If you have any pictures of you and your pet pony that you would like to send in, make sure to send them to animaljamgraphiccentral@gmail.com!

For Think About It Thursday...

Where do you think this armor came from? How do you think it was used?

What do you think this crystal is?

I wonder why Mira is surrounded by phantoms... what do you think this painting means?

Okay jammers- I will be in New Jersey all afternoon, so I don't think I will be able to post a lot. >.< I will make sure to post my Blogger World Tour post either before we leave or after we come back, and  the new contest may be posted later today, so make sure to keep checking back! ^.^

Updates + New Items (Rare Item Thursday?) + Greely's Den Tour + New Jam-a-Grams

Hi jammers! There were a lot of new updates today, so lets get started! :D

Wowza! That den looks... awesome, huge and epic! (look later in the post for a tour of this den, or go to my den [awesomepanda868] to see it all for yourself!) Do you think AJHQ will release Liza's Hideout? They have already done Cosmo and Greely... This den looks cool, but why is AJHQ making so many BIG dens recently? I mean, first the Crystal Palace, then the Sky Kingdom and now this?

That armor is adorable! (look later in the post for a few pictures of this new armor, or go to the Diamond Shop to see it all for yourself!) And my favorite party in the world returns! I love this party, and it's theme is so sweet! Friendship! :)

YAY!!!! :O AJHQ adopted a real panda! Great job, jammers! When you click on the banner, it shows you a cute video about the zoo/panda (of which I have already watched on repeat around 8 times :P)!

Yup- we were right jammers! The new animal has been confirmed to be an owl! I can't wait until these lovely birds come flying into Jamaa! And they already posted the Mira Sketch Jam on The Daily Explorer earlier. :P

:crosses paws in suspense: DON'T LEAVE ME HANGING, AJ!!! XD I really love all these possibilities, and I would love to know which one the jammers chose! ^.^ Too bad we have to wait two whole weeks...

The new items are the three new Valentine's Day themed items in Jam Mart Furniture!

That chair is so cute! I would like to save up more gems before I buy anything, but that is the first item I will buy! Then, there is that ever popular pink chest! I have that item already, but it is a really nice item! (Good for storing random trinkets :P) And that rose table... it must smell delightful! It comes in different colors as well! These items are ADORABLE but I wish they were for all jammers!!! ):

In Jam Mart Clothing, there is a lovely rose tiara!

Also in Jam Mart Clothing (thanks to the AJPU for notifying me of this ^.^) there is a Rare Item Thursday! :O Why Thursday, AJHQ? Perhaps this will be a new thing- RIM's and RIT's?

I like this item a lot, I just wish it were less expensive. >.<

Neat item! This reminds me of the flower crown item that left stores a few months ago. :)

And in the Diamond Shop...

Besides the sparkling yellow helmet on the bottom right corner, these are all new! The Jamaa Journal said they were animated! These armor pieces will be great to bring the friendly spirit of Valentine's Day to Jamaa!  Better yet, this set of armor is for all jammers! How great is that?!?! :D

There is also the new den, Greely's Hideout:

I am not going to post too many pictures of the new den, (you can just come to my den to see it for yourself if you like) because it is so big, but here are a few of my favorite parts of it...

Haha! If you put Yellow Sweets walls in this den, the walls turn into phantom candy wallpaper! :P

This is the spawning/entry area of the den. If anyone here has ever read The Rithmatist, then you will understand what I'm saying when I think about the chalk defense circles when I see that flooring. XD

At the tippety-top area of the den, you can see a miniature Jamaa Township! Aww, it's so cute! :places little dolls shaped like Jamaasians in the tiny Jamaa Township: XD And that adorable baby Mira!

When you go near the bottom area of the den, your animal gets coated with that red stuff (same as the Wolves Only Party).

Make sure to mosey on over to my den to find your way around this den through the twisting system of purple pipes, slides and stairs! ^.^

Whew- this is a long post already and we have so much more to do! XD

Moving on... there are new Jam-a-Grams in honor of the Friendship Party/Valentine's Day! They are so cute!

:) That bunny is so cute on the last one. And so is that cheesy message- you make me so hoppy! XD

The Daily Explorer posted a few things, but I need to end this eternal post soon so it doesn't go on forever and you guys don't have to hear me yap longer. :P

For today's Think About It Thursday, I have a few pictures for you to wonder about...

Why are most of the plants in Jamaa look fake, whereas the plants in Coral Canyons look real?

I doubt the cleanliness of that pet cleaning station- there is a centipede crawling around on the roof!

Do you think that these fish banners will ever be released in stores?

Sorry for the short post schedule segment, but I guess the post was long enough already. :P

One last thing- do you think I should change the template to a cheerful pink, green and yellow spring one for February? Or should I wait until April or May?

Have an epic day, jammers! :D
