What program do you use to make graphics?
I personally make my graphics using Pixlr, an online editing program for Macs and Windows, or Photoshop (which is a bit better, but costs money). If you have a Windows computer you can use a program called Paint, and if you have a Mac, to make transparent graphics you can use Smart Alpha in either Pages or image Preview.

How do you make a blog?
There are tons of free blogging platforms, but the most popular for Animal Jam bloggers is Blogger, Google's blogging platform (it's free!). There is Wordpress as well, which is also free. For me, Wordpress loads really slowly on my computer for some reason, so I prefer Blogger, but Wordpress is easy to make look really professional!

Hmm... so many amazing things, blogs and people inspired me to make my own blog! It would fill up about a thousand pages to list EVERY wonderful buddy I've ever had, or EVERY spectacular blog I've ever viewed, but a few of jammers that inspired me to make this blog were: MisterChunkyBuddy, nafaria9, EtherealComet, wingofthesun, numnum13 and vms915!

ReplyDeleteTo order one, you can go to the 'Commissions' tab below the header. Commissions are sort of like art pieces (signatures, blog design and gadgets, headers, graphics etc.) and only a few of them have to be paid. :)

ReplyDelete1. Hmm... I had another blog before this one, and I just felt like experimenting with Blogger I guess. :P So I made another blog. I was not sure what to call it at first. Then I realized that there weren't many graphic blogs out there, so I called my blog "Animal Jam Graphic Central" and that was the birth of this crazy blog. XD
Delete2. Believe it or not (and it is quite easy to believe since I stink at graphics :P) I used to be (and still am) awful at graphics. But I always loved looking at the "pro" AJ graphics, so I kept trying and I got somewhat better. I was inspired mainly by the Animal Jam Nox and vms915. :)
3. If you check the right sidebar there is a list of all the authors. Currently, there are five, including me. ^.^

my question might be wired but how can you do your own (back to top button)? and umm how do you guys put images in the bars where the webs are like(this website has a AJ gift image in it top bar thing) i have so many questions but i guess i will start with these two other wise i still new in blogger
ReplyDeleteOh, those questions are really easy to answer, but I completely understand your confusion! Those two topics are some of the hardest things to figure out when you are first starting with Blogger.
Delete1. Do you mean how do you install a pre-made one in your blog, or how to make your own and install it in your blog? If you mean installing a pre-made one, check out the section about that in this post . If you mean the other option (installing your very own back to top button) then I will have to make a post about that, or I can install a custom-made one for you on your blog (just check out the Commissions page).
2. That is called a favicon. To change your blog's favicon, go to Layout > Favicon (it will be in the top left, above your header) and then select an image from your computer.

DeleteIf you mean the page tabs right below the header image, then here's a tutorial:
DeleteGo to Layout, and click "Add a Gadget" right below your header image gadget. Then, select the Pages option for your gadget and a little pop-up window should appear. In that window, check all of the boxes of pages that you want to add to your page tabs. Then click the Save button and view your blog to check that it worked! ^.^ You can view a better and fuller tutorial by clicking here.

DeleteOh yes! To make sidebar images, you can just open up a background image (like one from our Signs & Boards page!) in Pixlr, Photoshop or PicMonkey, and then add text and graphics onto the background.

DeleteI am assuming that you want to make transparent graphics? Do you happen to have a Mac? If so, you can just create a white background graphic in Pixlr and then get transparency by opening up the graphic in Mac Preview and using Instant Alpha to remove the background (if you do have a Mac I can give you a more in-depth tutorial on that).

Hmm... I think that you could create graphics in PicMonkey, but it'll be harder than Pixlr or Photoshop, and I've never personally used it to make a graphic myself. Here's how (I think) you can make transparent graphics in PicMonkey:
Delete1. Open up a new canvas in PicMonkey.
2. Make the background transparent.
3. Go to the Overlays tab and upload the image that you want to make a graphic of.
4. Select the overlay and switch the tab over to Eraser.
5. Select a small eraser size using the slider, zoom into your subject and carefully erase around your subject like you would in Pixlr or any other program.
I hope that helped--if you need a more in-depth tutorial on that (since I just figured out how to do this as I was replying to this comment XD) then I can post one with pictures to help.

Hmm, Shark Cages were once obtainable through a glitch. Many Animal Jam YouTubers posted about it, so the glitch became popular.

ReplyDelete"Trolling" refers to playing a prank on someone. Do you see the "shrimps" in Jamaa, the "carrots", "poo", or other animal squads? Those are considered trolling. Also, many people do a trick "LPHD giveaway," when it is really an HDTV in light pink.
