Calling all editors!

Hey jammers! ^.^ Panda here!

Have you ever wanted to learn how to become an editor and make edits like signatures, headers and channel covers?

If you have, then you should keep on reading. ;)

I've just launched the AJGC Commissioner Academy, which is packed with tutorials and quizzes that will eventually lead up to a final exam, your performance on all of which will determine whether or not you become a commissioner for Animal Jam Graphic Central! This would mean that you would get tons of experience in commissioning and editing by accepting and posting commissions requested by viewers of this blog!

Also, if you'd like to become an author for this blog, you might be interested in knowing that commissioners get extra credentials when we look for new authors, meaning that you are more likely to get accepted as an AJGC author if you're also an AJGC commissioner!

New Siggys!

So, I was fooling around in Photoshop, and I came up with these 3 new signatures! I tried to incorporate the epic art that some of the lovely artists over on Google Plus have made for me, and here's what I ended up with:

Digital Panda Art + EPIC DIAMOND SHOP GLITCH!

Hey jammers!

Remember how awhile back I posted my first ever digital art of a bunny? In case you don't, here is the bunny art again!

 

It turned out pretty cute, but as it was my first, I didn't know anything about shading, light sources etc. So, I wanted to learn how to improve! ^.^

Today, I tried to draw my panda's signature look, and here's how it turned out:

Even though I'd still like to improve, I'm really happy with it! ^.^ Also, I drew it entirely from scratch with no templates or anything, so it's sort of a representation of my drawing style!

Well, I hope you enjoyed my 2nd attempt at digital art! :D Tell me in the comments: improvement or not?

Also, I was reading my friend Cosmic's blog, and her most recent post was about an EPIC glitch in the Diamond Shop!

Look how many diamonds I have!! 34,341!!

That's the glitch! I don't actually have 34,341 diamonds, and I can't spend them, but it's cool to take pictures with them, right? Click here to read Cosmic's post on how to do this glitch!

First Digital Bunny Art!

Hey jammers! Panda here!

So yesterday I was fooling around in Photoshop, trying out some of the nifty controls of my Wacom drawing tablet, and somehow I ended up with this creepy? or it it cute? idk lol digital drawing of a super squishy and fat bunny. :P

For my first digital art using a drawing tablet and Photoshop, I think it was reasonable. :P

I hope to get better at art in the future! :D Seeing all the lovely art on G+ really inspired me to get into the artistic vibes. :P

Pearl Necklace + Art Featured!!! + Tuesday Tips (kind of)!

Hi jammers! Sorry for the late post--I was out eating ice cream in town with my grandmother. :) I just had an absolutely lovely conversation about Chex Mix with my amazing buddy. :P I mean, how random can you get? But still, Chex Mix is one of the best things ever. ^.^ My favorite is the cheesy kind. On a not-so-good note, there is a really annoying buzzing fly that is zipping around my room but it's too fast for me to swat it with the flyswatter. :O I am so terrified of bugs, spiders, snakes and other insects... >.<

Oh, and let's all give Dew a hearty round of applause for her amazing post about narwhals yesterday!

The new item is the pearl necklace in Baharia Bargains!

I really like this item (I love pearls, so that's pretty obvious) but I wish it were less expensive--I mean, 700 gems for one necklace?

 I'll try to post a new episode of Fate sometime soon... but I have a lot of homework tonight, so probably not today. >.<

Oh! My artwork (a thank-you card I sent to NASA) was featured today! 

What's weird though is that my eagle's name isn't Bouncing Theeagle. In fact, I don't believe I have an animal named Bouncing Theeagle. O,o

Seeing as I have to skedaddle soon, I'll make this Tuesday Tips a very quick set of tips for getting more blog traffic:

• Use appealing, colorful, unique and professional images
• Be creative and create a new idea (don't copy anyone else or be exactly like other blogs)
• Post often (at least 2 to 3 times a week for a regular site, and try to post every day on an updates blog)
• Advertise in a non-icky way in comments on other blogs
• Wait: getting lots of viewers takes time

Hey jammers! ^.^ Sorry that I couldn't post a chapter of Fate yesterday... I was giving my main website, The Dancing Panda a little makeover. ^.^

Congrats, Precious Vonlily and Infinity Scaryanimal! I love how AJHQ drew both of their animals!

And for today's Sunday Fun, I will be posting a little thing I noticed when exploring Jamaa Township.

Have you ever paid close attention to the signs in Jamaa Township? Did you notice how at the bottom left corner of Jamaa Township, the sign that leads to Kimbara Outback looks really different from the other signs there? Look at the signs around Jamaa Township:

Doesn't the first one look much more digitally drawn? The others have softer lines and colors, while the one leading to Kimbara Outback (Medical Center) has bright colors and pixelated, bold lines.

RIM + New Item + Monday Animal Facts + Question/Poll!

Hi jammers! Today for the Blogger World Tour, make sure to check Frost's blog, Flying Over Jamaa!

The RIM today is the rare heart cape in Jam Mart Clothing (2nd page)!

I love everything about this item (the coziness, the colors, the details etc.) besides the price. XD Since I have been getting lucky on the Daily Spin recently and earning a lot of gems, I will buy one. :P

And the new item is the cherry tree in Jam Mat Furniture!

For today's Monday Animal Facts segment, here are a few facts!

• The cheetah is the fastest land animal in the world. They can reach a top speed of around 113 km per hour.
• Wolves are excellent hunters and have been found to be living in more places in the world than any other mammal except humans.
• Lions are the second largest big cat species in the world (behind tigers).
• Female elephants spend their entire lives living in large groups called herds. Male elephant leave their herds at about 13 years old and live fairly solitary lives from this point.

Sorry for the few facts- I wanted to cover a bit more in this post and I don't have too much time. XP

A quick notice- all graphic-related commissions are put on hold until further notice. We had to send my drawing tablet back for a reason, and I can't make very good graphics without it. But we are ordering a new one, and it will likely be here within the next week or two. :)

Sun Lamp + DE Post + Graphic + Room Spotlight + Shoutout!

Hi jammers! I am sorry there hasn't been a new edition of the Happy Movement in awhile, I have just been so busy. >.<

The new item is the sun lamp, in Jam Mart Furniture!

This is a cute item, and it comes in many bold and fun colors! I just wish it was...

- Less money (400 gems for a lamp?!?!) I would prefer 250-300 gems.

- For non-members! The last item released yesterday was also for members. ):

The Daily Explorer's post was about some of the new art submitted by some very creative jammers! It was of phantom snowmen! I entered, but my drawing wasn't very good. :P These jammers (and everyone else who entered) made beautiful drawings! Take a look!

They also ended their post with an adorable gif of two pandas! ^.^ Aww... (being me- a panda-lover, this was too cute to handle)

I saw a super kind jammer in Jamaa Township today! Look at what she was saying!
