I'm PERMANENTLY Banned?!

Hey jammers! It's Panda here...

And today when I went to Animal Jam to log in, I saw this:

(I blocked out my login info for obvious reasons :P)

This legit freaked me out. But, I was pretty sure it was either just a glitch or a mistake.

So, I went to Animal Jam's homepage in a different tab and logged in from there. To my great relief, none of my items were missing, and my account still worked. 

Phew!

But what should you take away from this post?

Well, if you ever see something like this, NEVER log in from that page. For example, I have a feeling this was just a glitch on AJ's part but say it was the plot of a hacker. Well, if I had logged in through the above login form, I probably would have lost my password to the hacker and been hacked.

Always check the URL/address of the page on which you are entering your login info. If you see any extra characters or words after the normal web address stem, then RELOAD THE PAGE IN A DIFFERENT TAB USING THE ADDRESS AS YOU KNOW IT.

RIM + Graphic + Jammers Like Restricted Chat? + Monday Animal Facts!

Hi jammers! I hope you all survived through last night, what with the rumored hacking and what not.

The RIM today is the rare round glasses in Jam Mart Clothing!

I like the colors of this item, but I wish that AJHQ put some sort of pattern on the glasses instead of just recoloring the regular round glasses.

Ugh, I have to make this post short, because my science teacher assigned us this huge packet of work to do--and it's all due tomorrow! The problem is, there's this huge test tomorrow called the New York State Test. Most of the teachers took it easy on us, in terms of homework, but my science teacher sure didn't. >.< The test will go on for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week, and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week. This week is English, and next week is math. DX

I was browsing an interview with Joi Podgorny, Director of Community Engangement at Animal Jam, and when the interviewer asked about chat settings, she replied with this:

Apparently 80% of jammers are happy with Restricted Chat. Where on earth did this statistic come from? Are they getting this stat from the fact that 80% of jammers use Restricted Chat? Or did they actually conduct a survey?

Anyways... the spotlight of today's Monday Animal Facts is... the heron! Since Mira (one of the most important and special figures in Jamaa) is a blue heron, I thought it would be fun to share some interesting facts about how real herons act in the wild. ^.^

• The blue heron is the largest and most common type of heron in North America.
• There are 64 species of herons that differ in size, color and type of habitat.
• Herons can be found on every continent except for Antarctica. 
• Herons prefer wetlands, swamps, coastlines and areas near rivers, ponds and lakes.
• The size of a given heron depends on the species. Herons can reach between 34 and 55 inches in length.
• Herons have a huge wingspan, usually twice their body size.

Hacker?

My buddy Lovely1147046 informed me of a new hacker. This hacker goes by the name of Wretchedjungle. WisteriaMoon, WootMoo, Kosho and maybe WootMoo were hacked. Wisteria says that she was out having dinner, when her fried messaged her telling her that she was online. She says that she went through a login battle, and finally managed to get online long enough so that she could send all of her good items to a storage. But her magenta furry hat is gone, as well as all of her headdresses. I believe that Wretchedjungle has been banned, but Slushy AJ claims that this name is only there to take the fame of the events.

I'm not sure if this rumor is true, but it seems as though it wouldn't hurt to disable gifting and trading on your account. This way, even if the hacker gets into your account, they won't be able to take your items. I've disabled my trading and gifting, just in case. I think Wretchedjungle is after all of the famous jammers, but you never know when they might go for regular jammers as well.

Within the next few days, be extra careful of all suspicious activity around Jamaa. And as always, do not share your password, email or login information.

RIM + Hacker?

Hi jammers! The Rare Item Monday is the rare turkey hat for sale in Jam Mart Clothing for 700 gems!

I wish this item was less expensive, but at least it is for all jammers! It is the colors of the 4th of July, or Independence Day in America... why did they make it those colors for Thanksgiving?
