Blogger Tricks Animal Jam Graphic Central!: Adventure Guide: Battle for the Beacon

Adventure Guide: Battle for the Beacon

This adventure was released on June 10th, 2015. Unlike most adventures, it appears in the Parties menu, underneath the seasonal item.

Adventure Requirements:

Status: Any
Level: Any
Land/Ocean: Land

Unique Features:

- There is a specific currency (Earth Crystals) for this adventure. Earth Crystals are earned by destroying Phantom Tubes.

- The Phantom Tubes featured in this adventure are part Phantom Pipe and part Phantom Sprouter.

- Different numbers of Earth Crystals will be earned for the destruction of different Phantom Tubes. Usually you will earn the amount of crystals corresponding to the level of field you are on: for example, the Phantom Tubes in the immediate West Fields will give you 1 Earth Crystal, and when you cross the river to the next level of the West Fields, the destruction of the Phantom Tubes there will give you 2 Earth Crystals and so on.

- There are 12 secret areas (6 on each side). These only appear to new players when the area has been cleared.

- The phantoms in this adventure display a farther range than the phantoms in previous adventures do.

- There is a store inside of this adventure, in which you can use your Earth Crystals to purchase the following items:

- This is the first adventure in which you can revive a boomseed tree with fresh water in order for it to have more boomseeds.

Walkthrough:

When you first spawn in this adventure, you will appear next to Greely, the wolf alpha, in Hidden Hollow. Greely explains how he must stay and protect the Phantom Beacon, something that a large army of phantoms is trying to steal back. Unfortunately, the phantoms possess Phantom Tubes, which create phantom armies of incredibly great numbers, putting all of the jammers in danger. Without the Phantom Beacon, we would never be able to find the exact location of the Phantom Fortress. Greely then tells you to destroy all of the Phantom Tubes.

In Hidden Hollow, there is a shop where you can use your Earth Crystals (earned by destroying Phantom Tubes) to purchase items.

To the right (east) and left (west) of Hidden Hollow, there are two sets of wells and boomseed trees. You can collect 4 sets of 3 boom seeds (12 boomseeds in total) from these trees. If they ever run out, one player can use a watering can full of fresh well water to revive the tree and refresh the supply of seeds. The well is the same as wells in previous adventures. By clicking on the paw print on either the  tree or the well, you can collect 3 boomseeds and a full watering can. The tall grass acts as it always does in adventure: it hides you from a phantom's view.

Throughout the adventure, you will come across these poisoned, polluted Chomper Plants. These plants can only be used to trap and destroy the phantoms once they have been watered. If a phantom is caught within a Chomper Plant's jaws, the plant will become polluted again and must be watered to trap any phantoms once more.

You will also come across Phantom Tubes, which must be destroyed. You can destroy the Phantom Tubes in two different ways: 1) use your boomseeds to weaken the Phantom Tubes until they break; 2) hit the Phantom Tubes much like you would a Phantom Web, which will quickly break the Phantom Tube; this is much easier if you are equipped with a glove, as it will increase the amount of damage that you do to the Phantom Tube. You will gain a cork after destroying the last Phantom Tube in an area, which you can use to stop the Phantom Pipe from clogging up the river with pollution, then allowing you to proceed to the next "level" inwards.

After destroying a Phantom Tube, you will gain 1, 2 or 3 Earth Crystals (depending on which level of a land you are at). Even if you did not destroy the Phantom Tube yourself, you can still receive the reward.

Once you have destroyed all of the Phantom Tubes in an entire area, you must kill the remaining phantoms by using boomseeds or Chomper Plants, and then water any poisoned Chomper Plants for a completely clean and phantom-free land.

This process will repeat: destroy all Phantom Tubes, destroy all remaining phantoms and then watering all polluted Chomper Plants. Similarly to the other seasonal adventures, this can be played with more than one player, and is a cooperative adventure.

Strategy:

To play more efficiently, you can use the strategy below to help destroy the phantoms and their Phantom Tubes faster.

Gardener: Constantly tend to the Chomper Plants and Boomseed Tree with watering cans full of water.

The Warrior: Run into "battle," by using your weapon (sword/gloves/boomseeds) to destroy the Phantom Tubes. Ideally, more than one jammer plays this role.

The Boomseed Sniper: You collect boomseeds and throw them at large swarms of phantoms (a single boomseed can destroy a large group of phantoms) or at the pipes until they give way.

The Protector: You try and protect the jammers as best you can, even as a noble sacrifice. You lead swarms of vicious phantoms away from those hacking at the pipes and destroy them as best you can. (A good Protector should be at least level seven so that they have some more hearts.)

    1. Cool! I don't play adventures that much (maybe once or twice a month?), but when I do, I always play with my seal which is now level 10. ^.^ I wish I had an animal that was level 20. :P

  3. Actually, it's not true that it is the only adventure where you are able to revive a Boomseed Tree with water. I have also done it in Meet Cosmo. Just saying ;D
