Lilly of the Valley Plants + Ask Panda + Friday Fun!

Hi jammers! I have quite a bit to cover today: the new items, a new series (and a very IMPORTANT notice) and a free eBook for you guys!

The new items are the Lilly of the Valley and the Lilly of the Vally Bouquet in Treetop Gardens!

I love these flower collections -- they add such a beautiful, spring-like feel to dens! Not to mention, I just spotted a few bunches of these little beauties scattered around my garden earlier today. ^.^

So, I've noticed that most of the questions asked on the Ask AJGC page are about blogging. And to be quite honest, I created the page for general questions (favorite color, favorite food etc.) and the occasional graphic or blogging related question. Since I spend a lot of time answering tons of blogging-related questions via email and on that page, I'll be answering accepting blogging questions once a week on Saturdays and answering them all on Sunday. I'm sorry if this is inconvenient for you, but I actually have a life outside of Animal Jam and blogging (Gasp! Panda has a life?) and to be honest I don't want to spend it answering blogging questions. So in my spare time on Sundays, I'll answer all of the questions on the Ask Panda post I made on Sunday. If you need immediate help, you can open a ticket in the Help Center, but expect a delay in response. Also, if there are any questions about this new Ask Panda series, feel free to comment down below. I'll be posting a notice on the Ask AJGC page about this, though I will answer any blogging-related questions right after I finish this post -- but only those that are currently up on the page. The first Ask Panda will take place next Saturday (May 9th) so be sure to subscribe to the site so you can get any new updates!

Sorry if that part of the post was a bit of a downer... but I hope to cheer you up with a free eBook! I'm working on a larger eBook that I will potentially later sell on The Dancing Panda (my other site) but I modified that eBook (containing 50 tips to make your blog even more awesome) to just 3 tips for today's purpose. Square Glasses + Friday Fun!

Lionfish Armor + Friday Fun!

Hey jammers! Ah, I finally got that wretched science test over with today, so I can finally begin posting longer things. ^.^ Unfortunately, I have to go somewhere (at 4:00 PM AJGC time) so this post may be a bit shorter. But later on, I may post some more. :)

Musketeer Boots + Friday Mystery + Credit/No Credit Issue!

Hey jammers! My school had an early dismissal, which is why those of you reading this have the unfortunate experience of having to read my awful posts EARLIER THAN USUAL. Wow. Poor you... D:

Anyways, the new item is the musketeer boots!

Yay! I made a gif! XD This item is really cute, I just wish that the whole musketeer set was for all jammers. ^.^

For the Friday Mystery Day, I will be following the schedule of... Tuesday Tips!

So, for the Tuesday Tips, I will be sharing some ways on sending an entry to a blog owner for any picture-related contest. Jamaasian Snaps (the AJGC's version of Jammer Snaps), Fashion Contests, Den Design Contests etc. are all examples of contests requiring you to send a picture in to the owner. But if you don't have an email, how can you do this?

DROPBOX

Dropbox is a free, file storage website that stores all of your files for you and lets you link to them. If you have a Dropbox account, you can just copy the link to the file/image and paste it in a comment.

PHOTOBUCKET

Photobucket is a free, picture storage website that stores all of your images for you and lets you link to them. If you have a Photobucket account, you can just copy the link to the file/image and paste it in a comment.

ANIMAL JAM

Sometimes, the owner of the blog is willing to meet you on Animal Jam and take the picture for you. For example, if you wanted to enter a fashion contest, the owner might be able to meet you on Animal Jam and take a snapshot of your animal wearing your costume.

Moving on... there is a little issue I would like to address. Remember sometime back in... when was it? January, I think. :P Anyways, sometime back in January (I think) I posted about a little "graphic issue". I had begun to see my graphics being used without credit. 

Let's back up a moment. What is credit? No, it's not putting the name of the person in giant, neon, flashing lights, but it requires that you give a mention back to the creator of the image or text. Without giving clear and direct credit, you are technically plagiarizing, which is a flat-out crime. 

Back to the whole graphic issue. Since I spend a lot of time making a lot of my graphics, (this involves countless minutes of hand-cropping and very painful hand cramps >.<) I require credit for most of them. Of course, sometimes (like the Wednesday Freebie) I let you guys use some of my graphics without credit. And you can use those without a mention to me, and it isn't plagiarizing. But if you use graphics that I made without credit, and that I require credit for, a problem comes up. So back in January, I posted about it, and it stopped. 

Temporarily. Now, I've begun to see it again. 

I understand that sometimes you see images on Google Images that you think you can use for free. And I also understand that you don't always click on the Visit Page button to make sure that you can use that image for free. I want to get those of you who are taking my graphics from Google Images without credit into the habit of clicking the Visit Page button first if you are browsing Google Images. But if you are simply viewing this blog and ignoring the fact that I require credit on my graphics, that really bothers me. 

A little graphic requiring credit that I make might not really matter to you. But later in life, stealing other people's content without permission and proper credit could cause a lawsuit and a plagiarism fine that could be up to $10,000. As much as people using my graphics without credit bothers me, I am concerned that those people might get into really sticky situations later on. My message to them? 

GET INTO THE HABIT OF GIVING CREDIT FOR IMAGES NOW. IT WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE A WHOLE LOT EASIER.

I appreciate that most of you do give credit. Thank you. And I am sorry if I sounded too harsh.

For the Friday Randomness...

I will be hosting an adventure party later tonight (or at least tonight in my time :P). You know how the new Lucky Clovers adventure has all of those gates where you need 4 jammers to dance on? Eagles and owls can fly up to the platforms and get the loot easy-peasy, but land animals have to get 4 jammers to dance on the little clovers to get the gem bags and clover key. >.< More than once I have been playing the adventure as a land animal and not been able to get at those special prizes because the people playing the adventure with me wouldn't dance and help. So I was thinking that anyone who wanted to join in on this little adventure party could meet at my den at around 5:00 PM AJGC time today so we could play the adventure and access the prizes together! ^.^ If you would like to join (it is not mandatory, simply come if you want to) then just meet us all there at 5:00 PM AJGC time! I ask that you don't bring a flying animal, just to keep everything fair. I can't wait- this is sure to be a blast!

Oh, and here is another graphic I made of that cute little bunny on that winter loading screen. ^.^ It is transparent, and you can use it for your blog or posters/signatures without credit. :)

Leprechaun Hat + Lucky Party Tour + Friday Randomness!

Hi jammers! I only have an hour (56 minutes, to be exact) to make this post, which for me is like 10 seconds because I take so long to make these posts. XD At school today I got to go to a special math class where we began learning HTML coding! So soon I may be able to create small HTML-based gadgets for you guys! So far I can only make a rectangle. XD

Speaking of Happy-Go-Lucky, here is a tour of the brand-new party that has come to Jamaa!

When you first enter there is a small wishing well and a Happy-Go-Lucky shop/stand where you can buy some items!

The six items at the Lucky Shop include: Clover Balloons, Clover Table, Clover Chair, Clover Patch, Lucky Clover and Pot O' Gold. They are all around 150 gems to 500 gems. 

When you go down, there is a green cobblestone pathway with a clover formed by smaller clovers in the center.

Inside the party, there is an assortment of green items (including a sofa arrangement, oversized paw print rug, and green tea set) and the music for sale.

The music for sale is the Happy-Go-Lucky music. 

There are patches of grass and clovers surrounding the green paved patio outside. 

OVERALL STATISTICS:

Shops: Lucky Shop (one is for furniture, one is for music)

The new item is quite interesting. O-o

Ah, this overpriced, members-only, croc figurine in Jam Mart Furniture... Besides the fact that the default green figurine looks kind of cute, this item is pretty bad. >.< But the weird thing is, take a look at this leaked photo (from ajinsider) that was released awhile back.

Ha- that is sure a better price than the 650 gem version. But isn't that weird? Perhaps AJHQ makes all items 5 gems before releasing them. But the weird thing is- why would AJHQ make this item before the votes were totaled up? Did they choose the pizza parlor on purpose because they had items already made in that theme? Or do they create the items in advance?

For the Random Friday, here is a quick one, since I better get to bed- I am so sleepy. :P Tuesday Tips time! Did you know that the default pattern color for the owls is the 'glitched' raspberry? Most glitched, rare, unreleased items in AJ are the secret raspberry color, and it is the default pattern colors for owls! I suggest keeping this rare color- it may come in handy later! :D
