Animal Jam Short Story: Campfire Tales

Juniper Snowyjoy marched around the campfire settled in Sarepia Forest. Perhaps the legends were true! She called to another koala, that looked much like herself, with sky-blue fur. The sparks that flew from the pitiful fire burst into a spectacular arrangement of orange flames that licked at the rocks enclosing them. A wolf joined in, though the tip of her purple lei started fuming from the fire. She promptly stomped it out and began joining in the attempt. A panda crawled over and began to dance as well. The roaring flames seemed to explode and their hue transformed to a gorgeous turquoise. A brilliant image of Mira, one of the two guardians of Jamaa was projected into the air. She was clear and transparent but her painless, flowing movements made her seem like she was real.

The heron tried soaring into the air, but she was restricted from the chains of the campfire, which was the fire itself. One by one, the animals around the campfire froze with awe. They stopped dancing. The flames stopped. Mira was gone. Crocodiles, wolves, and snow leopards alike blinked in confusion. Had Mira really come back from the cruel world that the Phantoms called home?

Or was it all just...a dream?
