Study Tips: SUMMER EDITION!

Hey jammers! Panda here! ^.^

So, I just recently got let out on summer break (yay!!!), which means that I can devote some more time to my hobbies, like drawing, writing and blogging! ^.^

Unfortunately, many of my teachers assigned our school homework over the summer. My typical pattern when it comes to summer assignments is to pull the whole "I'll do it tomorrow" thing until there's only one week left of summer vacation and I have to finish all of my summer assignments. It's a real bummer. >.<

If any of you are in the same boat, here are some tips to help you get those pesky summer assignments done as painlessly as possible!

TIP #1: PLAN OUT YOUR TIME & SCHEDULE DUE DATES

One of the ways that I'm going to finish my summer assignments on time this year is by using a planner to schedule due dates for different chunks of each assignment. I have a 30-page math review due sometime in September, so instead of ignoring the assignment for the entire summer, I've decided to finish half of it by July 20th, and finish the entire thing by August 5th. This way, I'm holding myself accountable for finishing the math review, without leaving it till the last minute to ruin my summer. :(

TIP #2: BUY NEW STUDY AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES

You may already know this, but I go crazy for new school supplies. My office drawers are overflowing with probably at least 150 different pens, pencils and markers. >.< Not to mention the dozens of erasers, folders and other miscellaneous school supplies I have laying around. I dunno--having super kawaii and colorful school supplies just gets me pumped for the new school year for some reason! If you're like me, then take a day or two over the summer to stop by your local Staples, Target, Walmart or any other store that sells office supplies, and stock up on school supplies that totally match you style! This way, you'll be more motivated to do any summer assignments that you have, and having epic new supplies might even make you the teeeeeeniest bit more excited for the new school year to begin!

TIP #3: FORM A STUDY GROUP WITH YOUR FRIENDS

Make completing all of those summer assignments a little less awful by forming a study group with your friends! ^.^ You could meet at the library or at someone's house to work on assignments together!

I hope that these tips helped you! :) Have an epic day, and don't forget to JAM ON!

Animal Jam LIFE HACKS!

Hey jammers! Sorry for making this post so late in the day. Most of the members from the team have had packed schedules lately! I have an orientation camp for middle school, so for a lot of the day I will be away. I am also going on vacation this Saturday. In a nutshell, I have an extremely busy summer!

Today I put together a special post including Animal Jam tips/life hacks that'll make your experience in the game overall. Let's get started!

Tip #1: Get more trades.
This is a very common AJ life hack, but if you want more trades, go to crowded places, like Aldan and Jamaa Township or popular trading dens, especially WootMoo's. Even though Aparri's is a good choice as well, WootMoo's den usually has more serious traders who know rarity better and are experienced traders.
(A little mini-tip along with this: When going to a famous jammer's den or somewhere very crowded, you'll usually get a pop up message saying the room is full. Keep on spam-clicking while keeping the 'enter' key pressed down. It'll help a lot.)

Tip #2: Get even MORE trades.
This seems like a generic trick, but dress up in strange clothing or unrare clothing, go to somewhere crowded with lots of people looking for trades, and say 'Trade me, I'm rarer than I look.' It's as simple as that. Since you don't look very rare, people will go to your trade list to see if your statement is true, and that means more people that could possibly want the items you have will look at your list.

Tip #3: Make better looking outfits.
As a new jammer, I literally put random things on my animal and called it an outfit. Nowadays, I have a bit more sense knocked into myself and I use a base color first. Don't make it too specific because you'll need it to match a variety of items. Usually, I like to do a light shade of the color and a darker shade. After, I find items that match it's color.
Another way to do this is pick a certain item with bold, solid colors and then base the rest of your outfit off of it.

That's all the tips for now! Also, you're probably sick and tired of me always posting, but I believe the other authors are busy or it may have slipped their minds. Nobody is perfect. Tomorrow, Awesomepanda868 will be giving you guys some study tips!!

Animal Jam Fanfiction: Eat Or Be Eaten

*Note: This is based off of Lois Lowry's book, Gathering Blue.

Pouncing Sunnypride whipped his head around to see if anybody was nearby. A patch full of crops was so close and nobody was there to stop him. The dusty ground below was stained scarlet with his own blood. A crazy snow leopard had attacked Pouncing earlier, eager to snatch the feast Pouncing had spotted before him.

Pouncing, being a wolf, was lucky to be a strong, stealthy animal. Weak herbivores were cast aside to die, although some did survive.

Poucing approached the pile of corn. Even though he was a carnivore, animals like him were forced to eat whatever they could find. It took some getting used to. Arctic wolves would throw up vegetables along with crocodiles and other animals of prey. Pouncing Sunnypride approached the food, crouched down and then leaped towards his find. His sharp jaws sank into an ear of corn and he swallowed it down before anyone heard or saw him. A tomato rolled over from a pile of squash and carrots. It landed between the wolf's paws and he sunk his dirty claws into it. The red juices squirted out and stained his pure white fur in an instant.

Forcing down more food, Pouncing Sunnypride sighed and gazed off into the distance. Why do we live this way? he thought in fury. We all live in fear. All feelings of joy and happiness and love have departed from this miserable land. Why can't we go back to when we trusted each other? he screamed silently. Then he inhaled and exhaled sadly. It's not like I can make a difference anyway. Then he continued to stuff his face before finding a few sticks next to a small slope in the field to use as his makeshift shelter.

Still dripping with blood, Pouncing closed his eyes and fell into a dreamless sleep. He awoke to bloodcurdling screeches and ear-piercing howls. He was used to it. The cries of terror and despair weren't anything new to him and the other animals. Though the moon was still high in the sky, the white wolf destroyed his shelter so nobody would know he had rested there. Turning over towards the left side of the hill, he closed his eyes, only to bump into a lump of fur. It was a bunny, shivering with fear. It couldn't escape; it was too afraid to move. Pouncing raised his paw to swipe at it and give it a quick, painless death. He licked his chops hungrily. The veggies hadn't satisfied his ever-grumbling stomach. He stared at the bunny with his keen, glowing eyes. He stared at it for a long time. Then, out of nowhere, he put his paw down. He backed up.
"I...I want you to live," he stammered. "The way we live is disgusting. Killing animals we used to live in harmony with? No thanks!" he declared. A few leftover vegetables were under his destroyed shelter. He fetched them quickly and gave them to the bunny.

The bunny broke out into tears. Tears of happiness, Pouncing Sunnypride assumed. It thanked him, wiping the tears from it's fluffy cheeks.
"I can't thank you enough!" it exclaimed through a mouthful of cucumber. Joyful, it hopped into a burrow and called to the rest of it's family. It's family...thought Pouncing wistfully. I remember when I had one of those. I'm surprised they didn't turn against each other to get more food and supplies. Shrugging, the white wolf trotted towards an evergreen forest. Not many dared to go there. Full of Phantoms, octopus-like creatures sly as a fox, it was a dangerous place. Still trotting at a reasonably slow pace, Pouncing spotted a large bush with a hole big enough to crawl through. An excellent shelter, he thought. He marked it by tracing a circle around it with his sharpest claw.
To be continued!
Also, I have a few things I would like to add:
Has anyone seen this paw icon in their Jam-A-Grams when they clear out their inboxes? I've seen it multiple times. This is NOT an edit.
Notice the paw icon at the bottom.
I tried clicking on it, but nothing happened. On a completely different note, I have some scrambled words for you guys! Jam-A-Gram me the answers, but if you can't type in something, tell me in the comments below! If somebody gives answers in the comments, don't reference from that comment. It could be incorrect plus it takes a lot of fun out of the activity!

Animal Jam Theories!

Hey jammers! It's Ineffable here, and today I'll be sharing with you a few theories on Jamaa. Let's jump right into it!

A few days ago, I was roaming around the Chamber of Knowledge. In the second room, I happened to come across a book with a few strange-looking symbols on it. I did a bit of research and decided, perhaps, one of the symbols resembled the symbol of Saturn.

Here's the book I saw. I circled the Saturn symbol.
As you can see, they aren't identical, but in different depictions the Saturn symbol is a bit different.
Saturn is also a planet, correct? Well, next to this room in the Chamber, there is a shop with a window and telescopes. Through the window you can see a starry night sky. Perhaps they are linking the two: The window represents outer space and Saturn is one of the planets in it (of course all planets are in outer space).

Another thing I noticed are den portals and portals for Adventures. Sometimes you can see strange symbols in the portals. Tell me in the comments below what symbols you can see in the portal! What do these symbols mean? And what other theories do you have about Jamaa?

ALERT: Animal Jam Pet Sighting!

This post has been copied from the Animal Jam Comet.
---

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!

This just in, an Animal Jam pet redeemable from a toy was sighted in the Wild Explorers Tent in Aldan. We cannot say who has redeemed a code for privacy reasons, but we can show you an image.

This mysterious pet seems to be a lightning bug or a firefly. Whatever it is, it seems pretty cool! If you are using this photo for ANY reason, leave the watermark on. I watermarked the photo for reasons of it not getting stolen, and I don't want it to be stolen.

If you have any more info on these mysterious new toy pets appearing in Jamaa, be sure to inform me about it!

Well, that's about it!

Ciao, and Comet On!

Here is your siggy:

It's a bit hard to see, but for the "Snowy" text, I created my own snow-like pattern in photoshop and used it to pattern the text. It's subtle, but I hope you like it! :)

Spikes Return to Jamaa & New Wild Explorers Tent [Weekly Digest: Issue #1]

Hey jammers! Reporter Panda here, with a copy of this week's Weekly Digest fresh off the press! As a refresher, this Digest will be posted on this blog every weekend, and will summarize the events of the week!

  • This week's Rare Item Monday (Plus a Rare Item Tuesday!)
  • Any and all newly released items from this week
  • Major updates and new features from the weekly edition of the Jamaa Journal
  • New and concluded contests or informational posts from The Daily Explorer
  • Exclusive graphics relating to this week's events
  • A round-up of AJGC's posts for the week

Reporter Ineffable here, ready to tell you all about this week's Rare Item Monday (RIM)!

The Rare Sombrero is sold at the Summer Carnival and costs 4,000 tickets. Sadly, this colorful hat is for members only!

The Rare Sombrero sports the usual RIM colors with it's neon purples, bright pinks, and fresh greens. Although these hats do look a bit silly, you can definitely make quite the festive outfit for your next summer adventures with this Rare Sombrero!

However... there was a very special item sold on Tuesday this week as well! It was rare, so you could technically call it a Rare Item Tuesday!

This Rare Guitar Rug was released in honor of Make Music Day, which was also celebrated on The Daily Explorer!

Reporter Cosmic here, with the weekly report with all of the new items arriving in Jamaa this week!

An epic edit by Reporter Cosmic!
This week brought some exciting updates to Animal Jam! Handing it off to Reporter Cosmic, from The Animal Jam Comet!

A special spike-y sale! For four days only (Thursday 6/23, Friday 6/24, Saturday 6/25, and Sunday 6/26), you can purchase short-spiked collars and wristbands for 3 Diamonds a piece! These jam-tastic new items are available in 8 unique colors, ranging from a soft pink to a milky white! What I find particularly unique about these spiked items is that each of the spikes on the collars and wristbands, have a soft icy blue tint to them!

Reporter Panda popping in here, just to clarify that the rarity of the original rare spiked collars and wristbands will likely not change. This is because there is a diamond icon on these new spiked items, which will make it easily recognized. Additionally, those blue-tinted spikes that Reporter Cosmic mentioned earlier will also play a role in distinguishing the original rare spikes and these new ones.

Now back to Reporter Cosmic...

If you go to the Diamond Shop to purchase some of these spiked items, there will most likely be a crowd of people! Jammers sure are eager to purchase these spikes!

Above is a picture of what these spikes look like. Of course, there are many more colors in which these items are available, but the blue tinted spikes on both the collar and wristband remain throughout all of the different color options.

Say hello to the Pixelated Rug, the Pixelated Writing Desk, the Pixelated Window, and the Pixelated Armoire! These new items come along with the new Pixel Place, Animal Jam's newest den!

However, it is our belief that this was a copy of Play Wild's (one of Animal Jam's mobile games) pixelated features.

Above are some of the new pixelated items!

Pet penguins are on sale in the Diamond Shop for two diamonds! They will only be for two diamonds for this week, so make sure to purchase one if you haven't!

Hey, the Freedom Party is returning too! This party has got to be one of the smallest rooms in Animal Jam, but it makes up for lack of space with it's epic decorations! This party is all decked out in red, white and blue, and also has some clothing and den items for sale!

A brand new room has come to Jamaa! It is called the Wild Explorers Tent, and is located on a rocky cliff above Epic Wonders (in Coral Canyons). At this very location, you can watch all of the latest Wild Explorers episodes, and download special Animal Jam Academy printables!

Above are some snazzy pictures of what this new building looks like!

(Left) Entrance to the Wild Explorers Tent
(Right) Inside of the tent

Some new Masterpiece frames have been added to the ever-growing frame collection! So make sure to head over to the Art Studio and place your newest creations inside these paw-some new frames!

Hmm... it looks like the alphas have left us some clues as to what perhaps the newest animal will be!

Scroll all the way down to the bottom of this post for the SPOILER ALERT with the answer to this riddle!

But if you'd like to figure out this little puzzle by yourself, here are what the pieces of torn paper say:
  • Have long legs
  • Are nocturnal
  • They live in trees
Can you figure it out?

Reporter Ineffable here again, with some updates straight from The Daily Explorer!

Here are some of the current contests you can enter in to win a prize!

To enter either of these wonderful contests, simply go to Jamaa Township, and submit your artwork or writing through Jammer Central!

One of the amazing art contests that ended this week was the James Audubon contest! Here were some of the jam-tastic entries!

To celebrate this paw-some week, here are some fun graphics you can use! All of these can be used without any credit to me (Reporter Panda) or this blog (AJGC)!

Monday: Campfire Tales (Short Stories)
Tuesday: @Ineffable (Commission)
Thursday: A Trade?

Thank you so much for reading the very first issue of the Weekly Digest!

What did you think of this issue? What ideas and suggestions do you have for Issue #2?

As always, the amazing Animal Jam Graphic Central Management Team never manages to disappoint! If it weren't for the endless dedication and hard work of all members of the team, this blog and this new Digest series wouldn't be up and running. A big round of applause for them, no?

We'll see you next time!

Did you really read to all the way down here? Good for you!

As a bonus for you, here are 2 bonus graphics of an adorable pet panda! These can be used without credit for edits, in blog posts, or for YouTube thumbnails!

Are pet pandas just paw-tastic?

Which of the epic pets of Jamaa is your tippety-top favorite?

New Trading Joint?

Hey jammers!

In case you didn't know, Fridays at the AJGC include random posts. Anyone can post anything! We do follow a more specific schedule for the majority of the other days though.

If you've been playing Animal Jam recently, you'd know that there is a new attraction at Coral Canyons (they've been adding a lot of stuff to Coral Canyons lately, don't you think?) which is the Wild Explorers Tent! There, you can print out worksheets with instructions for science experiments and crafts, watch official Wild Explorers episodes and more!

But besides those activities, it might be used for something more. Usually, AJHQ spawns you in a simple land, like Jamaa Township, Sarepia Forest, etc. They don't spawn you in a specific room, for example when you log on you're never in the Pillow Room right away. But I've noticed that sometimes when you log on or switch to a new server, you spawn in the Wild Explorers Tent. And even though it's a brand new addition to Jamaa, so many people come at once that I know that not everyone is here for the tent but is just spawned here as well.

You can find people asking for trades, giving party details, etc. like you would see in Jamaa Township. This is cool and all but it's such a small place to work with!

One more thing about this is that I think it sort of suits the theme of trading. Varied supplies, little trinkets, paintings, and more are shoved on the shelves and it sort of reminds you of a farmer's market. (sorry, that was really random)

On a completely different note, we are now accepting fanfiction submissions! The only rules are that there can be no inappropriate language whatsoever, no extreme gore or other inappropriate descriptions, and the story must be related to Animal Jam!
Thanks for tuning in to the Animal Jam Graphic Central! Make sure to stop by again, especially tomorrow, 'cause you're in for a treat...

A Trade?

Hey jammers! Panda here! <3 p="">
I just finished SCHOOL today!!! I'm super excited, and I can't wait to start putting more time into the blog for you guys!

I'll be posting more tomorrow or on Saturday, but I was wondering...

My cousin plays Animal Jam, and he'll be California for the next 2 weeks. I told him about the spikes coming into the diamond shop, and he asked me if I could trade for a set of teal/blue or black spikes (both collar and wristband). Unfortunately, I'm a non-member, so I can't buy the set for him. >.<

If any of you happen to have the diamonds to buy a blue wristband or blue collar from the diamond shop before they go out of stores, it would be such a huge help! I'd be willing to give you a bunch of free edits (some Deluxe Packs, a bunch of free signatures, headers, entire blog makeovers) and maybe even throw in some RIM's.

But it's perfectly okay if you decide not to do this--diamonds are precious, eh? ;) Seriously though--don't feel pressured or anything, I love all of you so much, and I hate asking something like this of you. >.<

Have a lovely day!
<3 p="">
<3 p="">By the way, there's a SUPER exciting post coming out on Saturday! Hint, hint: Look above the header for a little clue. ;D
