Internet Safety Day!

I forgot to post in the main post how today is Internet Safety Day in Jamaa!

Of course, we always have to make sure we are being safe online! Here are a few tips from the National Children's Advocacy Center!
  1. Never post your personal information, such as a cell phone number, home number, home address, or your location on any social networking site or through mobile apps like Snapchat or Instagram.
  2. Never meet in person with anyone you first “met” on the internet. If someone asks to meet you, tell your parents or guardian right away. Some people may not be who they say they are.
  3. Check with your parents before you post pictures of yourself or others online. Do not post inappropriate pictures of anyone.
  4. Never respond to mean or rude texts, messages, and e-mails. Delete any unwanted messages. You may need to delete friends who continuously bother you or post things that are not appropriate.
  5. Never share your password with anyone, including your best friend. The only people who should know your password are your parents or guardian.
  6. If you wouldn’t say something to another person’s face, don’t text it or post it online.
  7. Do not download or install software or anything on your computer or cell phone before checking with your parents or guardian.
  8. Use the privacy settings of social networking sites.
  9. If anything makes you feel uncomfortable online, while gaming or when using your cell phone, talk with your parents or guardian right away.
Do you have any online safety tips? Make sure to comment them down below! :D

Hi guys! I am so happy you've decided to share your opinions on AJGC! Make sure to read/follow the following bullets:
- You guys probably know- no swearing, not even ***, no mocking or making fun of others and no judging.
- Free commenting (no moderation) is a privilege, if I see 1 inappropriate comment, comment moderation is turned on for all of you, sorry, I just don't want this to be an unsafe environment.
- If you are caught being mean to another viewer, you will have all of your comments deleted. You only have 2 chances before you are banned from ever having your comment appear again on the blog.
- I have absolutely no problem with you advertising your own blog/site in the comment section, I just request that you write an actual comment about the post or page before advertising your own site. Flat out advertising comments will not be deleted, but they make the comment area more of a spammy place- get what I mean?
- Please do not request diamond or membership codes. If you are looking for gem codes, then make sure to check out our Codes page. But if I catch you threatening another jammer, demanding a membership or diamond code, I will turn on comment moderation.
- When commenting anonymously, you must sign your username.
Sorry if these rules sounded harsh, I'm sure most of you already know the commenting rules, they are virtually the same for every blog.
Happy commenting!
